So I got something in the mail today that I am super excited about. Normally I am against buying things that have been autographed because to me half the point of one is getting to actually meet the person but I couldn't pass up the opportunity that I found. Every year the Penguins host a charity event called skates and plates where the guys play waiters for tables of rich people. Afterwards they have the guys sign aprons that are made just for the event with the skates and plates logo on them and they auction them off for charity. I have never had the money in the past but this year I did so I thought what the hell and I bid on one. I was surprised when I found out that I had actually won the auction and now I am the proud owner of a skates and plates apron signed by Tyler Kennedy. The coolest thing about it other than the fact that it is signed by one of my favorite penguins is the fact that it's unique and not something that every Penguins fan is going to have hanging in their living room. I have it being framed right now and I will try to get a picture when I get it back in the next couple of weeks.
